               Staff pay Options    
            (Update: 2024-10-12, 17:17)
            All staff who started after 01 September 2024 can only be 
            Contractors. Please read below, "1. Contractor" and
            please apply for your ABN. See below to get help on how 
            to get started as a contractor, section 1e.

             1. Contractor 
               a. You will need to apply for an ABN, and send us
                  an invoice every week, or every 2 weeks, for the 
                  hours you worked. Whichever you choose, we will
                  still pay you weekly.

                  We will not pay your tax (PAYG tax) every pay.

                  At the end of the year, you need to tell the tax
                  office how much you earned that year. They will
                  then tell you how much tax you owe them. Then you
                  have to pay them. So it's a good idea to put some
                  money aside every week.

               b. Annual Leave, Public Holiday is not payable by us.

               c. Superannuation is not payable by us.

               d. Your pay rate will increase by $2.50. If you 
                  currently get paid $25.50, it will now be $28.00.
                  This is to cover Superannuation.

             2. Employee
               a. Remain as "employees". You will receive pay slip 
                  every week. As is what currently what happens now.
                  
                  We will pay tax for you every pay and you'll need to 
                  lodge your tax return every year to get some tax back. 
                  As is what currently what happens now.

               b. Annual Leave, Public Holiday is not payable by us.
  
               c. Superannuation is payable by us, currently 11.5%

               d. Your pay rate will be reduced by $0.50 per hour. If you
                  currently get paid $25.50, it will now be $25.00. 

                  $25.00 + 11.5% = $27.88, similar to contractor.
             

             Notes : 
             
             1. Both options end up paying the same amount.

             2. When your working hioliday visa finishes and you 
                leave Australia, you can apply to the tax office 
                to get all your paid superannuation. However, 
                you will be taxed on this. 

             3. If you want to get maximum money, then you should 
                become a contractor, and put $0 into superannuation.

             4. All new staff will automatically be on 4 month 
                contracts. This can be extended by 4 months at 
                a time, if both parties are happy to do so.
                
                All existing staff will also be moved to 4 month
                contracts. Again, this can be extended every 
                4 months if both parties are happy to do so.
             
             5. Pay rates will be increased as we get busier.

             0. Roster update notifications 
             NEW ! From 2023-12-17

             We now have a notification system when there's an update
             to the roster. Mony controls this manually so it will
             only send notifications on specific changes, e.g. 
             [Pending Confirmation], [Final], etc. We will also use
             this to notify everyone when someone is sick in the
             mornings. To enable this: 

             (1) Download app "ntfy" to your phone. 

             (2) Set up new notification subscription:

             0. Square machines and declined sales 
             During a card sale, please take a few extra seconds
             to confirm the payment goes through successfully. It's
             more troublesome to run after people and get them to
             come back. It'll also teach customers to wait until the
             card company approves the sale, before they head off.
             If square doesn't say "confirmed", but the customer's
             phone says "paid", this means Square didn't process it
             (and the phone confirmed too early). However we can't do
             anything about this besides telling customer "Please
             check later and if you weren't charged, please come back"

             If there is a declined sale and you did not get the
             customer to come back, YOU need to pay for the items !

             Pls check employee price list if you want to buy anything!


              2. Please put your phone on LOUD  
             Hey guys, we had a sick person last week. I tried to
             organise someone to cover, but had trouble calling people.
             I called some people 20 times, sorry! If you coud, please
             put your phone on LOUD or add me to your favourites/allow 
             list so that my phone calls get through. Don't worry, I will
             ONLY call you if it's an emergency! Thanks! 


              3. When you're starting to feel sick  
             Hey guys ! Some of you guys have been sick recently and
             need to take a day off work. That's cool ! But please
             let me (Mony) know asap if youre starting to feel sick.
             I normally sleep at 7:00pm. So if you message me
             afterwards I will only get it the next morning. In this
             case, please call me and wake me up!! I much prefer
             being woken up than bothering people in the morning.
             No one likes me calling them in the morning to come in
             earlier, or to come in on their day off !! Thanks guys !
             It's better if YOU can organise someone to cover you.


             4. B3 Roster and LINE 
             LINE sometimes does not refresh the roster after changes.
             So please use - iOS: Safari, Brave, Android: Brave


              5. Taking food for yourself 
             Guys a couple of people have asked me how much food
             each person can take for themselves each day, for eg break
             time. To clear up any confusion, the answer is -
             - 1 baguette or 1 croissant
             - 1 bottle of water
             Any extra food or drink you want to take, please refer to
             above "employee price list" and purchase them at that
             price.


              5b. Have your break before work! 
             If you have a late shift, e.g. 11:00 or 12:00, you can 
             come to work early to have your break. Please come
             15 minutes before your shift starts!


              6. When you arrive at work 
             When you get to work, you should be ready to get straight
             to it. If you need to do your hair or makeup, this should
             be done  before  you arrive to work. We have noticed
             a few people taking too long to get ready when they arrive,
             so please double check your morning preparations and if
             you're taking longer than a minute or two to get ready
             once you arrive, then you should wake up earlier.


              7. When you're late to work  
             ... everyone else is affected. Last week, too many
             people were arriving to work late. To be clear, if
             your shift starts 07:30, then the absolute latest
             time to arrive is 07:30.

             Thank you to everyone who always arrives before their
             scheduled time, you really make mine and everyone
             else's job easier! To everyone else, please try harder!!
